The University of New Hampshire theater and dance department put on the comedy-drama musical Godspell. It was their first musical of the semester, kickstarting many other productions like The Wedding Singer in the spring. A change of creativity and style from their previous play The Half-written play, which was a private performance.

On Nov. 14 at the Fishbowl in front of Scott Hall, the 2025 Fall Festival was held at the University of New Hampshire. The Fall Festival, a fundraising event for the American Cancer Society, is organized by the UNH American Cancer Society in collaboration with fellow partners UNH Fashion, Local Mojo, and local rising star bands The Form and False Portrait.

On Thursday, Nov 13, as part of the Heilbronner Lecture series, the University of New Hampshire invited Carole Zawatsky, the CEO of the Tree of Life, a community organization dedicated to uprooting antisemitism. The Hans Heilbronner lecture series honors the memory of Hans Heilbronner, deceased professor of history at UNH, and centers around the Jewish community, as well as remembering the victims of antisemitic attacks.

UNH came home empty-handed after a high-scoring first half, which had visiting fans hopeful for the Wildcats’ first win vs. Harvard since 2004. The tip-off seemed to be the only thing going Harvard’s way in the first 20 minutes. UNH was ahead on the scoreboard for all but 19 seconds of the entire half. Three-point shooting proved to be the difference in the first half, as the Wildcats made three of their first four attempts and jumped to a quick nine-point lead.

Just because Halloween is over, doesn’t mean Fall is. In fact, I think Fall really starts at Halloween (especially with global warming not cooling down the planet until late October now). For those who want to get into a cozy fall vibe with movies, I will be recommending a few, in no particular order. These films can be slightly spooky, but mostly have a warm and cozy atmosphere. So grab some fuzzy slippers, pour yourself a fall beverage (maybe an apple cider mimosa, warm cider, or even hot cocoa), and settle in for some of what I think are the best films to watch in the fall season.

The University of New Hampshire men’s basketball team delivered a dominating performance Thursday night, defeating Curry College 113–31 in their home opener at Lundholm Gymnasium. The win marked head coach Nathan Davis’s third season’s home opener victory at UNH.

On Monday, Oct. 20, UNH experienced a day-long outage of Canvas. Many professors were unsure how to communicate with their students without using the software. Students were unable to submit assignments or access many of their daily apps, such as Snapchat or Amazon.

Construction for a new courtyard between the University of New Hampshire’s (UNH) Fairchild and Huddleston halls is expected to be wrapped up by Nov. 2025, improving previous safety concerns in the area. The $508,000 project will include new concrete, design layout, landscaping, and the installation of street lights. The Huddleston Fairchild Courtyard project, which started in mid-Sept. 2025 had been a long time coming for UNH’s Facilities Project Management.

As of Sept. 2025, two strong scholarship programs serving first-generation college students on the University of New Hampshire campus have been cut by the federal government. The Educational Talent Search (ETS) and McNair programs, both under TRIO, help thousands of students from lower-income families in New Hampshire in pursuing post-secondary education, but are now being discontinued.
