The New Hampshire

From the Editor’s Desk

Diplomat Richard Haass was announced as the speaker for the class of 2016’s commencement ceremony Wednesday morning. The announcement served as a painful reminder that graduation is, unfortunately, actually happening. To prevent potential tears or hyperventilation, I’ll omit the (steadily approaching) graduation date.

Obama’s swing and a miss

·

President Obama was the first sitting American President to visit the Island of Cuba since Calvin Coolidge in 1928. Proclaimers’ palpable patriotism

·

LTE: Comments on Consent

·

The topic of “consent” has raised many questions in the past few years as universities across the country have started to take actions to prevent sexual assault. Redefining consent, enforcing harsher legal judgments, and teaching bystander intervention strategies are just a few ways in which colleges have attempted to reduce the chilling statistic that 1 in 5 women will experience a completed or attempted rape during her college years.
