Student welcome the Lunar New Year

Dragons, Yo-Yos, swords and massive drums took over the Granite State Room at the MUB on Saturday night for the seventh annual Lunar New Year Celebration. The event was a collaboration put on by the United Asian Culture Coalition, the Korean Culture Club and the Vietnamese Student Association.

Demo in the Whitt: Students vote for new equipment

Campus Recreation, located in the Whittemore Center, also known as “The Whitt,” hosted a one-day 11 hour Fitness Demo Day on Wednesday in order to allow students to use and provide feedback on possible new fitness center equipment from various vendors.

Poli sci professor Dante Scala co-authors a book on GOP factions, nominations

Dante Scala, a UNH political science professor and faculty fellow at the Carsey School of Public Policy, recently co-authored a book with his associate Henry Olsen called “The Four Faces of the Republican Party: The Fight for the 2016 Presidential Nomination.” The book looks at the four main factions that the Republican candidates must win over to gain the Grand Old Party nomination.

Durham to hold Democratic presidential debate

In 2016, there are 81 million millennials eligible to vote, according to Reuters. But only about 15,000 of them will be given front seat access to one of the final Democratic debates in Durham on Thursday night.
