UNH Dance Company hosts annual concert

From March 30 to April 3, the UNH Dance Company held its annual concert, an elaborate performance that had people young and old filling the seats of the Paul Creative Arts Center (PCAC) every night of the week. The night was split into two performances; a jazz, tap, aerial (JTA Company) performance entitled “Magic” and a one-act ballet “Les Esclaves” inspired by famous ballet “Le Corsaire” performed by the Ballet Company.

UNH organizations come together to raise awareness for climate change

The UNH Outing Club, the Student Environmental Action Coalition (SEAC), and NextGen Climate Action have collaborated to bring a high-octane ski film to UNH that addresses the ever-present concern of climate change.  The film “All I Can” was presented this past Tuesday in the MUB Theatre.

Problems arise for SCOPE ticket buyers

Software put in place earlier this year created new problems for SCOPE’s ticket process last Thursday, as students complained of several issues. All of the problems occurred when the ticket website received extremely high traffic. This, combined with impatient students, led to a number of problems that left a small number of people ticketless.

You’ve got mail: GSS renovations coming end of May

The dread and frustration of waiting in line at the Granite Square Station (GSS) Mailroom is all too real, especially at the beginning of the year, with students not receiving messages regarding packages, getting large orders and mailroom employees just being overwhelmed.

The mysterious case of ‘Jeffrey,’ the missing plant

On the cold Monday evening of Feb. 22, Jacob Reny sat down at his big square desk and began his nightly shift in the OSIL room at the MUB. As Reny was grabbing some keys out of a drawer, he heard fellow OSIL staff member Will McKernan scream, “Where the hell is Jeffrey!”  Panic ensued in the confines of the OSIL room as the two of them, in a state of utmost hysteria, rushed around the room in search of their six-month-old bamboo plant, ‘Jeffrey.’

Professor remembers brother and reflects on 9/11

UNH associate professor Julia Rodriguez arrived to her child’s day care on the morning of Sept. 11, 2001 to find several parents talking about planes hitting the World Trade Centers. Immediately, Rodriguez had a bad feeling. Her brother worked in World Trade Tower One.
