RESCHEDULED: Slow Food Kicks Off the Semester with MUB Market

Due to the weather this event has been rescheduled for Sept. 30 from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. in UNH's Strafford Room. Following the event will be a dinner at Waysmeet Center at 7 p.m..

This Thursday, Sept. 25, from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. on the University of New Hampshire (UNH) fish bowl lawn, Slow Food, a student organization focused on sustainable food culture, is hosting its first MUB market of the fall semester. Slow Food has been hosting MUB markets—farmer’s markets for the UNH student body—for over five years.

The event will feature local vendors and live music by New Hampshire native singer and songwriter Analise, who recently appeared at a WUNH event. There will be a mix of vendors selling clothing, foodstuffs, and accessories, including New Moon, Good Planet Apparel, Hickory Nut Farm and many more! Following the market, Slow Food will also host a community dinner at 7 p.m. at the Waysmeet Center (located across the street from the campus crossing lot by Alexander Hall). Community dinners are also a staple of Slow Food, and a space where all are welcome.

A unique feature of this MUB market is that it will be outside—last year the MUB markets were held in the Stafford Room.

“ [It] really gives off that open farmers market vibe so we’re super excited!” said a representative from Slow Food.
